AoC for COSLRival

The mobile living quarters facility COSLRival was granted an Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) by the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway.

On 28 May 2010, the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) issued an Acknowledgement of Compliance to COSL Drilling Europa AS (CDE) for their mobile living quarters facility COSLRival.

COSLRival will be operated by OSM Offshore until 1 June 2010. The facility was previously called Port Reval and received an AoC for the first time on 3 August 2007.

For more information, see: Port Reval receives AoC

CDE will assume operating responsibility for the facility from 1 June 2010. As an Acknowledgment of Compliance is the property of the shipowner (operating company), a new AoC is required in connection with the transfer of operating responsibility.

COSLRival (above) is a mobile semi-submersible facility of the Aker H-3 type. The facility was delivered from the yard in 1976 and was originally designed as a construction facility, but later rebuilt.

The facility was converted into a living quarters facility in 2003/2004, and has a current capacity of 360 beds. The last five-year classification was conducted in 2009. COSLRival is registered in the Bahamas, with Det norske Veritas (DNV) as classification company.

CDE’s head offices are in Sandnes.
