On 27 March 2012, the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) granted Rowan Drilling Norway AS (Rowan Drilling) an Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) for the mobile drilling facility Rowan Stavanger.
During the period 6-8 March 2012, the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) conducted an audit of the mobile drilling facility Scarabeo 8, targeting electrical systems, safety systems and maintenance management.
During the period 28-29 February 2012, the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) conducted an audit of working environment follow-up on the mobile drilling facility Scarabeo 8.
During the period from 19 January – 1 March 2012, the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) conducted an audit of Transocean Offshore Ltd (Transocean) and the company’s maintenance management system. The audit identified serious breaches of the regulations. The PSA has now issued a notification of order to the company.
The consent relates to the drilling of exploration well 2/8-18 S, which is part of production licence 440.
Total E&P Norge AS has been granted consent to conduct exploration drilling in the North Sea with the Borgland Dolphin mobile facility.
Centrica Energi has been granted consent to conduct exploration drilling in the Norwegian Sea with the West Alpha mobile facility.
Statoil has received consent to use the Transocean Leader mobile drilling facility.
Suncor Energy Norge AS has been granted consent to conduct exploration drilling in the North Sea with the mobile facility Songa Delta.
Norwegian Energy Company AS has received consent to carry out exploration drilling in the Barents Sea with the Aker Barents mobile facility.
