Consent to carry out exploration drilling with Bredford Dolphin in well 6201/11-3

Lundin Norway AS has received consent to carry out exploration drilling in the Norwegian Sea with theBredford Dolphin mobile facility.

The consent relates to the drilling of exploration well 6201/11-3 which is part of production licence 519 with Lundin Norway AS as the operator.

The planned position of the well is:
N 62º 02' 44.96''E 01º 30' 13.07''. Water depth at the site is 382.5 m.

The operation has an estimated duration of 53 days, depending on whether a discovery is made.

Bredford Dolphin

Bredford Dolphin (photo) is a third generation, type Aker H-3, semi-submersible drilling facility. The facility was commissioned in 1976.

Bredford Dolphin is owned by Fred Olsen ASA and operated by Fred Olsen’s subsidiary Dolphin AS (Dolphin). The company’s main offices are in Stavanger.

The facility is registered in Singapore, and DNV is the classification society.
