On 26 and 27 February 2015, the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) carried out an audit of Songa Offshore's follow-up and management of the fabrication of the anchor chains for the Cat D rigs.

The objective of the audit was to verify that the fabrication of anchor chain was being managed, followed up and performed in compliance with the regulations.

No non-conformities were identified.

Improvement points were identified in connection with:

  • Supply follow-up
  • Planning and documentation of inspections
  • Recording and documentation of repair grinding

Non-conformity: Entails that a condition is assessed as not complying with a regulatory requirement.

Improvement point: Entails that we have identified a deficiency or weakness, without there being sufficient grounds for determining a breach of regulatory requirements.
