Audit of BP Norge AS – Tambar

Between 31 October and 8 November 2013, the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway conducted an audit of BP Norge AS (BP), and of the Tambar production facility.

The objective of the audit was to assess how BP was meeting the regulatory requirements within maintenance management, construction safety and occupational health and safety (OHAS).

Non-conformities were identified in connection with:

  • The PA (public address) system
  • surveying and risk-assessment of OHAS factors
  • training in OHAS factors
  • follow-up of the company's management systems
  • follow-up of risk exposure
  • equipment and loading areas

In addition, an improvement point was identified in connection with valves.
