Audit of buoyancy, stability and ballasting for Veslefrikk B

On 19 and 20 October 2011, the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) carried out an audit of Statoil at Sandsli.

The objective of the audit was to ensure that Veslefrikk B had buoyancy, stability and ballasting pursuant to applicable regulations.

No nonconformities were identified.

Improvement items were identified in relation to:

  • Regulations for modifications
  • Documentation of weight margins
  • Documentation of displacement tests
  • Maritime expertise
  • Collision energy and extent of damage in the event of ship collisions
