Audit of ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Norway AS

From 20 to 26 May 2016, the PSA carried out an audit of ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Norway AS (ExxonMobil)'s logistics arrangements, including materials handling, management of cranes and lifting operations and maintenance of lifting equipment at Ringhorne.


The objective of the audit was to verify compliance with the company's own and the authorities' requirements in respect of operational, administrative and technical factors within the audit area.

Result
Two non-conformities were identified in connection with offshore cranes and communication.

In addition, three improvement points were identified in relation to technical conditions, documentation and competence.

ExxonMobil has been given a deadline of 1 August 2016 to report on how the non-conformities and improvement points will be dealt with.

Non-conformity:
Entails that a condition is assessed as not complying with a regulatory requirement.

Improvement point:
Entails that we have identified a deficiency or weakness, without there being sufficient grounds for determining a breach of regulatory requirements.
