Audit of Mærsk Intrepid

Between 17 and 20 March 2015, the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway carried out an audit of Mærsk Drilling Norge AS and Total E&P Norge AS in the domains of working environment and logistics.

The objective of the audit was to verify the companies' compliance  with the regulations and preconditions for an AoC decision in the fields of working environment and logistics.

Non-conformities were identified in connection with:

  • Protective and guide structures
  • Materials handling
  • Lifting operations
  • Training and drills
  • Lifting equipment
  • Analyses
  • Measures
  • Competence and clarification of responsibilities
  • Competence and communication
  • Working environment committee

 In addition, improvement points were identified in connection with:

  • Competence
  • Exhaust gases in crane cabins
  • Technical conditions
  • Chemicals
  • Registration of occupational illnesses

Entails that a condition is assessed as not complying with a regulatory requirement.

Improvement point:
Entails that we have identified a deficiency or weakness, without there being sufficient grounds for determining a breach of regulatory requirements.
