Audit of Oseberg field centre

From 25 to 28 January 2016, the PSA carried out an audit of Statoil Petroleum AS (Statoil)'s efforts to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for electrical installations.


The objective of the audit was to verify that Statoil is complying with the regulations relating to working in and operating electrical installations.

Result
Non-conformities were identified in connection with:

  • Work in and operation of electrical installations
  • Electrical plant – technical conditions

In addition, improvement points were identified in connection with:

  • Testing of emergency power system
  • Maintenance management
  • Deck gratings made from composite materials
  • Fire barriers and ignition source control

Non-conformity:
Entails that a condition is assessed as not complying with a regulatory requirement.

Improvement point:
Entails that we have identified a deficiency or weakness, without there being sufficient grounds for determining a breach of regulatory requirements.
