Audit of preparedness - COSLRigmar

From 2 to 4 September 2013, the PSA conducted an audit of the COSLRigmar accommodation facility. The audit was focused on the discipline of preparedness.

The objective of the preparedness audit of COSLRigmar was to verify the facility's preparedness organisation, equipment and systems that provide preparedness functionality.

The audit comprised:

  • Barriers and performance requirements within preparedness
  • Evacuation routes and life-saving equipment
  • Fire protection equipment
  • Preparedness procedures and organisation
  • Training and drills

Results
Interviews were conducted with management on board and discussions were held with response teams and the safety service. A verification round of selected areas was conducted. A preparedness drill and MOB drill were arranged.

The audit identified non-conformities with the regulations relating to controlling documentation, the preparedness organisation, fire stations, identity labelling of rescue equipment, marking of escape routes, helideck construction, access to and from the helideck, firefighting on the helideck and lockable doors.
