Audit of Statoil - Johan Sverdrup

We have carried out an audit of maintenance, materials handling and lifting equipment in the construction and completion phase for the processing and riser facilities for the Johan Sverdrup field.

From 3 to 30 November 2017, we carried out an audit of Statoil focused on maintenance, materials handling and lifting equipment in the construction and completion phase for the processing and riser facilities for the Johan Sverdrup field.

The objective of the audit was to monitor that Statoil, in collaboration with the participants in the Johan Sverdrup development project, is finding solutions compliant with the preconditions in the plan for development and operation (PDO), applicable regulations and relevant standards, as well as Statoil's own requirements.

The audit focused in particular on Statoil's follow-up of the execution, commissioning, design and arrangements for materials handling, safe use of lifting equipment, maintenance planning and preservation of plant, systems and equipment on the facilities.

The audit identified improvement points in respect of arrangements for safe and effective lifting operations, materials handling plans and maintenance management.

We have asked Statoil to report on how the improvement points will be addressed by 23 February 2018.
