Audit of Statoil – Statfjord C

From 26 to 29 January 2015, the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway carried out an audit of Statoil's management of emergency preparedness at Statfjord C.

The objective of the audit was to gain an overview of the processes and systems that contribute to ensuring comprehensive emergency preparedness management at Statfjord C.

Non-conformities were identified in connection with:

  • Telemedicine equipment
  • Module training
  • Training and drilling for MOB boat crews
  • Training in navigational equipment in lifeboats

In addition, improvement points were identified in connection with:

  • Training and drilling in the deputy role
  • Co-training of personnel in the emergency preparedness organisation
  • Training and exercises using SAR helicopter
  • Documentation of training
  • Refresher courses on shore

Entails that a condition is assessed as not complying with a regulatory requirement.

Entails that we have identified a deficiency or weakness, without there being sufficient grounds for determining a breach of regulatory requirements.av.
