Total E&P Norge AS (Total) is the operator for Martin Linge, an oil and gas field in the North Sea near the boundary with the UK sector, 42 kilometres west of Oseberg. Water depth in the area is approximately 115 metres. The development concept is a fully integrated production facility with a steel jacket, and a floating storage and offloading unit (FSO) for oil storage.
We carried out an audit at the construction site for the production unit (PU) in South Korea from 17 to 20 January 2017, with a subsequent meeting at the operational organisation's offices in Stavanger.
The purpose of the audit was to verify that Total's management of emergency preparedness factors, materials handling and working environment during the project phase and fabrication of the facility comply with the regulatory requirements.
One non-conformity was identified during the audit, linked to the arrangement for offshore cranes.

Total been given a deadline of 30 April 2017 to report on how the non-conformity will be dealt with and how the improvement points will be assessed.
