Audit of the management of occupational health and safety at Statfjord C

From 14 to 17 December 2015, the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway carried out an audit of the management of occupational health and safety at Statfjord C.

Statfjord C is in the northern sector of the Statfjord field and came onstream in 1985. The Statfjord Nord, Statfjord Øst and Sygna satellites are tied back to Statfjord C. In 2014, Statoil received consent for extended operations at Statfjord C until August 2026.

The objective of the audit was to monitor Statoil's OHAS management at Statfjord C and to examine the implementation of measures for their own employees and subcontractor personnel. The audit also covered non-conformity and change management, and the organisation of employee participation in such processes.

Result
Two non-conformities were identified in connection with:

  • Noise
  • Chemical exposure
