The background for the activity is based on the PSA’s main priorities for 2011, particularly follow-up of barriers.
It is important to the PSA that the industry uses and further develops knowledge relating to safeguarding and improving barriers.
The sum of technical, operational and organisational factors is crucial for the barriers to function and be effective at all times. A good understanding of risk is necessary to prevent accidents, to establish an appropriate preparedness and to reduce uncertainty.
The objective of the activity was to ensure fulfilment of the regulatory provisions.
The audit placed particular emphasis on the parts of the company’s management system which include the role of the person responsible for electrical installations, responsibility and tasks during engineering, operations and modifications and maintenance of electrical facilities.
The audit was carried out as planned with good facilitation by GdF. The conversations held gave the impression of skilled and enthusiastic employees.
