Consent for change to area contingency planning – Edvard Grieg

We have given Lundin Norway AS (Lundin) consent for a change to area contingency planning on the Edvard Grieg field.

The change entails removal of the emergency response vessel that is currently dedicated to Edvard Grieg. Access to an emergency response vessel will be ensured instead by Lundin signing an agreement to participate in the vessel part of the area contingency planning scheme for the Sleipner-Utsira area. Lundin is already part of this scheme in respect of SAR response and ocean monitoring.

Area contingency planning
Area contingency planning is the collaboration on emergency preparedness between several facilities and fields with the intention of sharing maritime and airborne emergency response resources. This may include emergency response vessels, SAR helicopters and other resources.
