Consent for use of Deepsea Stavanger at Maria

Wintershall has received consent to use Deepsea Stavanger to drill six production wells on the Maria field.

Wintershall Norge AS is the operator of the Maria field, an oil and gas field at Haltenbanken in the Norwegian Sea, around 230 kilometres from the Trøndelag coast. Water depth in the area is approximately 300 metres. The field is to be developed using a subsea facility.

We have given Wintershall consent to use the Deepsea Stavanger mobile drilling facility to drill six production wells on the field.

Deepsea Stavanger is a semi-submersible drilling facility of the GVA 7500 type, built in South Korea in 2010. It is owned and operated by Odfjell Drilling. We issued Deepsea Stavanger with an Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) on 16 March 2017.
