Consent for use of Floatel Superior on Yme

Talisman Energy Norge AS (Talisman) has been granted consent for use of the mobile living quarters facility Floatel Superior on the Yme field.

The consent relates to use of Floatel Superior as a living quarters facility in connection with installation/completion of the new production facility on the Yme field.

The consent is granted in pursuance of Section 5, litera d, of the Regulations relating to material and information in the petroleum activities (the Information Duty Regulations).

The consent is granted in part on the basis of documentation submitted in connection with the application and documentation related to the Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) for Floatel Superior, with the assumptions and obligations the Acknowledgement of Compliance represents for the shipping company and operator.

Floatel Superior is a dynamic positioning (DP-3) semi-submersible facility with a living quarters module astern and an open work deck forward.

The flotel can accommodate 440 people in single cabins when it operates on the Norwegian shelf.

The facility is a new construction and was delivered in March 2010 by Keppel FELS (Shipyard Road) in Singapore.

On 22 December 2010, Floatel International AB received the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway's (PSA's) Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) for the mobile living quarters facility Floatel Superior.
