Consent to use facility on the Valemon field

Statoil has received consent from the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway to use the Valemon facility and associated installations on the Valemon field.

Associated installations comprise pipeline systems and power cables, including optical fibre cables, between Kvitebjørn and Valemon. The gas pipeline, which comprises the altered Heimdal-Huldra pipe and a new Huldra-Valemon pipe, will be subject to a separate consent process following an application from Gassco.

The consent applies up to the time when West Elara leaves the Valemon facility.
Valemon is a gas field located in blocks 34/11 and 34/10, due west of the Kvitebjørn field. Water depth is 135 metres. The development principle is a fixed production facility with a steel jacket, using a simplified separation process. The facility is controlled remotely from the Kvitebjørn field.
