Consent to use pipelines and subsea production facilities

Statoil has received consent to use pipelines and subsea production facilities at Gullfaks Sør.

Statoil is the operator at Gullfaks Sør, in the Tampen area in the northern North Sea, south of the Gullfaks field. Gullfaks Sør has been developed using subsea templates tied back to the Gullfaks A and C facilities by underwater pipelines. Production began in 1998.

Planned start-up is 1 June 2015.

The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway has now granted consent to use pipelines and subsea production in accordance with Statoil's application.
