ConocoPhillips Scandinavia AS (COPSAS) has been granted consent to use the mobile living quarters facility Safe Scandinavia as a flotel at Eldfisk 2/7 E.

The consent applies for the period from 1 May to 1 September 2012. Safe Scandinavia will be used as a flotel during the period while the current living quarters rig COSL Rigmar is at the shipyard for recertification.

Safe Scandinavia was built in 1984 at Aker Verdal according to the Aker H-3.2E design.

The facility is operated by Prosafe Offshore Limited, and has 292 single cabins. Safe Scandinavia has been classified by Det norske veritas and its flag state is Singapore.
