Consent to use Songa Encourage at the Tyrihans field

We have given Equinor Energy AS (Equinor) consent to use the Songa Encourage mobile drilling facility on the Tyrihans field in the Norwegian Sea.

Tyrihans is in the Norwegian Sea, around 25 kilometres southeast of the Åsgard field. Water depth in the area is 270 metres.

The field comprises the discoveries 6407/1-2 Tyrihans South, which was proven in 1983, and 6407/1-3 Tyrihans North, which was proven in 1984.

The consent covers drilling, completion, workover, intervention and plugback using Songa Encourage.

Songa Encourage is a semi-submersible drilling facility of the GVA 4000 type, operated by Songa Offshore. It was built at the Daewoo yard in South Korea in 2016. It is classified by DNV GL and registered in Norway.

Songa Encourage was issued with an Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) by the PSA in April 2016.
