Lundin has now received consent to use the Maersk Guardian mobile drilling facility to permanently plug subsea well 7/8-5 S. The work is expected to take around 18 days.

The well will be drilled by Mærsk Guardian which is a jack-up drilling facility. It is owned and operated by the A.P. Møller-Mærsk Group. It was built in Japan by Hitachi and completed in 1986.
Mærsk Guardian received Acknowledgement of Compliance on 01 November 2002.
