Statoil receives consent to use COSLPioneer for drilling and completion of a production well in Visund

Statoil has received consent to use the COSLPioneer mobile drilling facility for drilling and completion of production well 34/8-C-1 in the Visund field

Visund is an oil field situated in the northern part of the North Sea, about 130 km west of Florø. The field has been developed using a semi-submersible accommodation, drilling and process facility. Production on the field began in 1999.

The well to be drilled is a production well at Visund Nord, which has been developed using a subsea template located 10 km north of the Visund facility. Water depth at the site is 377 metres.

The work is planned to start in October, with an estimated duration of 140 days.

We have given Statoil consent to use COSLPioneer for these activities.

The activities are to be carried out using the COSLPioneer mobile drilling facility.
