Audit of joint preparedness organisation for Sture and Kollsnes

The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) carried out an audit along with the Norwegian Industrial Safety and Security Organisation (NSO) in the period 31 January – 2 February 2012. The audit was related to preparedness in connection to the joint organisation on Sture and Kollsnes.

The PSA works for the overall industry and each player to prevent major accidents and damage to the external environment.

As an important part of this, the PSA will follow-up the companies’ management and control of activities and organisations.

This includes the companies’ own follow-up, technical and operational safety, maintenance, as well as expertise and the capacity to ensure prudent activities.

NSO checks whether the enterprise has an industrial safety organisation pursuant to NSO’s regulatory requirements.
