Acknowledgement of Compliance for the drilling facility Transocean Searcher

On 19 December 2003 the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate granted an Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) for the drilling facility Transocean Searcher, which is owned by Transocean Offshore.

Transocean Searcher (formerly Ross Isle) is a Bingo 3000 design, built in 1983.

Following modifications, the rig is specially designed to be able to complete subsea wells and can operate in the North Sea year-round in depths from 60 m to 450 m.

In the past few years the rig has been on contract for Statoil, drilling and completing on Åsgard and Alpha Nord.
