The Norne field is situated in the Norwegian Sea, about 200 kilometers from the Helgeland coast.
The field is developed by means of a production and storage facility (ship) connected to subsea templates on the seabed (illustration).
The audit started with a meeting with the land organization in Harstad on 29 September 2005.
This meeting included presentations of topics such as experiences, status and plans for the future of the Norne field.
This provided a good basis for the audit on the facility.
A kick-off meeting was held upon arrival on Norne on 1 November 2005 as well as a summing-up-meeting before departure on 3 November 2005.
