The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) has granted A/S Norske Shell its consent for exploration drilling on block 26/4, production license 266 (Beluga), with the mobile drilling installation Deepsea Delta (pictured).

The consent covers drilling of an exploration well and a possible side-track.

Block 26/4 is located about 110 km west of Haugesund. The drilling operation is planned to start around 1 April 2004 and will last for between four and seven weeks.

Deepsea Delta, which is operated by Odfjell Drilling AS, was granted the PSA's (AoC) in February 2004.
