Consent for use of Bideford Dolphin on Oseberg Sør

The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) has granted its consent to Norsk Hydro Produksjon a.s (NH) for use of the mobile rig Bideford Dolphin for production drilling and plugging.

The activity entails production drilling on the Oseberg Sør J structure and permanent plugging of wells on Troll Oseberg Gas Injection (TOGI).

Start-up is planned for mid-July 2004, and the estimated duration of the activities applied for is 11 months.

The purpose of the activity on the J structure is to obtain data and prepare wells for water injection and oil production from the Oseberg Sør installation.

According to the cessation plan, five wells will be plugged on TOGI.
