Consent for use of Seawell for light well intervention

In May 2005, Statoil ASA received consent to use the Seawell to carry out a light well intervention campaign in 2005. The company has now applied for an extension of this consent until 31 December 2005.

The intervention campaign is taking place on the Statfjord satellites, Vigdis Øst, Gullfaks Sør, Åsgard, Heidrun, the Snorre subsea production facility (Snorre UPA) and Tordis.

According to the plan, the activities were to have been completed by 14 November. Because start-up of the campaign was delayed, Statoil needs an extended consent period until the end of the year.

During the extended period, well operations will take place only in the Tampen area. The work scope is unchanged as compared with the original application.

We have granted Statoil our consent for continued use of the Seawell until 31 December 2005.
