Consent for use of Transocean Arctic on Norne

Statoil ASA (Statoil) has applied for consent for use of the mobile drilling rig Transocean Arctic (photo) for drilling, completion and well work on the main Norne field and the Norne satellites Stær and Svale. The activity is to contribute to maintaining production and increasing the drainage degree on the field. The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway granted Statoil its consent as applied for on 21 July 2004.
