Consent - removal of standby vessel

The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway has granted Statoil ASA permission to remove one of the standby vessels on the Statfjord field.


On 28 March 2003, the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate received Statoil's application for permission to remove one of the standby vessels on the Statfjord field.

After a review of the documentation, the application was rejected in a letter dated 20 November 2003.

In a subsequent meeting with Statoil, new information emerged which led to a new evaluation of the application.

The consent was granted on 19 February 2004.
