Volve is an oil field situated in the Sleipner area in the North Sea. The development plan involves installation of a jack-up facility with drilling and process facilities, tied in to a permanent floating facility (storage ship).
After processing, the crude oil from the field will be transported to the storage ship, while the gas will be exported to the Sleipner A facility for processing and further transport.
The development will take place in 2006 and 2007, and the diving operations will be conducted in July-August 2006 by the contracting company Acergy A/S using the diving vessel DSV Seaway Osprey (see photo). The work will consist of connecting mooring equipment and flexible pipes.
