Consent to conduct exploration drilling with and use of Transocean Winner on Njord

Norsk Hydro Produksjon AS (Hydro) has received consent to conduct exploration drilling with the Transocean Winner and to use this facility for production drilling.

The consent relates to drilling of exploration well 6407/7-7 S and drilling of production well 6407/7-B-1 Y1H (sidetrack).


The wells are part of production license 107 and are situated on the northwest flank of the Njord field (see map).

The geographic position of the exploration well is N 64° 17' 40.1", E 7° 07' 10.5". The plan is to start drilling around 20 May 2007.

The Transocean Winner is a third generation semi-submersible drilling facility of GVA-4000 design, built in 1983 at Gøtaverken Arendal, in Gothenburg, Sweden.

The facility is owned by Transocean Offshore and operated by Transocean Offshore (North Sea) LTD NUF, with headquarters in Stavanger.

Transocean received an (AoC) for the facility in August 2006.
