The Dagny field (see map) is located in the southern North Sea, north of Sleipner. Well 15/5-7 has the following geographical coordinates:
N 58° 33' 22.2", E 01° 39' 19.3". The water depth at the site is 119 metres.
The expected duration of the drilling activity is 90 days. Estimated start-up will be in June 2008.
Transocean Winner is a third-generation semi-submersible drilling facility of the GVA-4000 type, built in 1983 by Gotaverken Arendal in Gothenburg, Sweden.
The facility is owned by Transocean Offshore, and is operated by Transocean Offshore (North Sea) Ltd NUF, with its main office in Stavanger.
Transocean Winner received the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway's Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) in August 2006 (link).
