Consent to the use of Port Reval on Eldfisk

The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) has granted ConocoPhillips Skandinavia AS its consent to use Port Reval (pictured) as a living quarters facility on the Eldfisk field.

Maintenance work on two wells and field upgrades are some of the reasons why more accommodation is needed than what is taken up by the usual crew.

Port Reval is a mobile drilling facility of the Aker H3 type. It is owned by Awilco Sea Beds II AS. Port Reval will be located next to Eldfisk 2/7E and will be connected to that facility via a bridge.

The activity will start during September 2005 and is expected to last for ten months.
