Consent to use Deepsea Delta on Oseberg

StatoilHydro has received consent to use the mobile facility Deepsea Delta for production drilling and completion of two wells on the Oseberg Delta field.

The facility will drill and complete observation wells 30/9-L-51H/AH and 30/9-L-53H/AH. These activities are expected to have a duration of approx. 220 days.

Start-up of the drilling depends on the Deepsea Delta's progress in its ongoing activities on Vilje (link).

The Deepsea Delta, which is owned and operated by Odfjell Drilling, received the (AoC) in February 2004.

About Oseberg Delta
The gas and condensate field Oseberg Delta is situated approx. 150 km west of Bergen and 8.5 km southwest of the Oseberg field center (see map). The water depth at the site is 102 meters.

Oseberg Delta will be developed with a subsea facility with four well slots, which will be tied in to the Oseberg D facility at the Oseberg field center by two pipelines.
