Consent to use Seawell - extension

Statoil ASA has received an extension to the consent to use Seawell for light well intervention.

In June, the company received our consent to use the Seawell for light well intervention operations on Åsgard, Statfjord, Vigdis, Gullfaks and Norne.

The consent was set to expire on 31 December 2004. Due to the delayed start-up of the campaign, Statoil needs to extend the consent period to 28 February 2005.

Typical activities within light well intervention are the use of "electrical" or "smooth" cable operations for logging, setting plugs, perforating, pulling equipment and minor repairs.
