Consent to use the Huldra tail production facilities

Statoil ASA has secured consent to use the Huldra tail production facilities, which include the main elements of a new compressor module and ten new cabins.

The Huldra gas field is located in the northern North Sea, about 28 km north of Oseberg and 16 km northwest of Veslefrikk (see map).

Lokasjon Huldra

The field is developed with a normally unmanned wellhead facility with a simple process facility remote controlled from Veslefrikk. The rich gas is transported in a 145-km long pipeline to Heimdal for processing.

The condensate is routed via pipeline to Veslefrikk B for processing and further transport to the terminal at Sture, through the Oseberg Transport System.

Without investments in new equipment, production on Huldra will cease in 2007. Installation of a new compressor could extend production to 2011 - 2012.

We have granted Statoil consent to use the tail production facilities on 16 March 2007.
