Consent to use the Mærsk Guardian on Tambar

BP Norge AS (BP) has obtained consent to use the mobile facility Mærsk Guardian for production drilling on the Tambar field.

The Tambar oil field started producing in the summer of 2001. The field is situated in the southern part of the North Sea about 15 kms south-east of Ula and has a simple development solution consisting of a normally unmanned well head facility with remote control from, and processing at, Ula.

The Mærsk Guardian will drill and complete well 1/3-K-5/K-5A. The facility obtained an Acknowledgement of Consent (AoC) in November 2002, and is operated by Maersk Contractor Norge AS.
