Consent to use Transocean Arctic on Draugen

A/S Norske Shell (Shell) has received consent to use the mobile facility Transocean Arctic for production drilling on the Draugen field.


The consent relates to drilling and completion of two wells that are part of production license 039 on Haltenbanken: wells 6407/9-E-3H and 6407/9-D-3H. Shell is the operator of the production license, while the other licensees are Petoro, BP Norge AS and Chevron Norge AS.

The drilling operation is expected to last for about 110 days.

The consent is granted in part on the basis of the Acknowledgement of Consent for the Transocean Arctic, granted on 20 July 2004, with the conditions and obligations the Acknowledgement of Compliance represents for the shipowner and the operator.
