Great interest in the seminar "When accidents threaten the environment"

The interest in the seminar to be held in the PSA on 11 February has far exceeded our expectations. This shows a commitment to these issues that is gratifying. Unfortunately, interest in the seminar has been so great that we have had to turn away people who wanted to participate. Therefore, we will be setting up a similar seminar this fall.

In our offshore petroleum activities, preventing accidents that can lead to acute spills must be a main priority in order to avoid harming the environment.  The seminars, which are a joint initiative by the Norwegian Pollution Control Authority (SFT) and the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA), place prevention of major accidents in an environmental perspective. The seminars are aimed at everyone who plays a role in planning, design and operation, and who thus has a joint responsibility for preventing harm to the environment.

The first seminar will be held in Stavanger on Wednesday, 11 February, and is already fully booked. We will provide more information about the new seminar when the date and program changes are finalised.

The seminars are free of charge and will be held in Norwegian.
