Order issued to OSM related to the company's system for handling non-conformities

The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) has issued an order to OSM Offshore AS (OSM) related to the company's system for handling non-conformities.

On 13 February 2009, the PSA issued a notification of order to OSM (link).

Port Reval

OSM operates the living quarters facility Port Reval (see photo), which is currently being used on the Eldfisk field. The background for the order is that the quality of OSM’s applications for being granted exemptions from statutory requirements received recently do not present the required information.

In concurrence with the notification, we have issued the following order to OSM,  cf. Section 58 of the Framework Regulations relating to administrative decisions:

Pursuant to Section 20 of the Management Regulations relating to handling of non-conformities, OSM Offshore is ordered to review and correct its system for handling non-conformities in order to meet the requirements of the regulations.

The deadline for complying with the order is set at 1 May, 2009. We must be notified when the order has been complied with.
