Personal injuries on the Norwegian continental shelf 1993-2002

The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) has now published its statistics on the number of personal injuries on permanent and mobile installations with figures updated for 2002.

There is a considerable reduction in the number of injuries from 2001 to 2002. Some companies have changed their reporting routines, however, and this accounts for some of the reduction. The 2002 figures are therefore not immediately comparable with the figures from previous years.
