Petroleum Safety Authority Norway to publish "Risk" during ONS

The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) will release the new publication "Risk" during ONS, which will be held from 24-27 August in Stavanger. The publication will be handed out at our information stand and elsewhere.

The Risk publication deals with various aspects of risk in the petroleum activities. The project Development in Risk - Norwegian shelf (RNNS) forms the basis for the publication, which discusses key topics such as assessment and follow-up of gas leaks, well kicks, helicopter traffic and noise.

The PSA shares the information stand at the conference with the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD), the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy, the Ministry of Labour and Government Administration and the Research Council of Norway. The theme of the authorities' stand this year is "A promising future through responsible value creation". You will find us in Hall F-615.

This year marks 30 years since the Offshore Northern Seas (ONS) exhibition and conference, otherwise known as "Oljemessen", was organised in Stavanger for the first time. The NPD has participated at ONS since 1978. The NPD was split into two entities on 1 January 2004, and the PSA was established. Therefore, this is the first time the PSA participates in the conference.

ONS has developed into one of the world's foremost meeting-places for the petroleum industry. Today ONS includes a conference, an exhibition and the ONS festival.
