Q&A - the movie: In reflective mode

Three key people involved in regulating the Norwegian petroleum sector will be providing personal reflections on Norway as an oil and gas nation at ONS 2010.

The authorities have adopted film as a medium for the first time at the biennial Stavanger show to give visitors a closer look at the overall picture of national oil and gas administration.

Entitled Q&A, this production features petroleum and energy minister Terje Riis-Johansen, NPD director-general Bente Nyland and PSA director-general Magne Ognedal. What do they really think, the farmer who now reigns in the political arena, the geologist who heads the resource regulator and the engineer whose life was affected for ever by a stormy March day in 1980?

In their respective ways, each with their own area of responsibility, letters of award, political expectations, commitments and contacts with the community, these three head authorities which mean more than most people know for Norway both now and in the future.

ONS visitors should set aside five minutes to view these three and reflect with them in a film which also takes the audience back to the 1970s to meet some of those who build the country today. Q&A – the movie is directed by Jakob Rørvik and produced by Geir Netland for Phantomfilm.

It will be shown every 20 minutes throughout the day on the government stand 606 in Hall F (Link to the map of the ONS Exhibition & conference area). Tickets are issued on the stand, and everyone is heartily welcome.
