The keynote speaker will be Statoil chief executive Eldar Sætre, who will also take part in a panel debate with PSA director general Anne Myhrvold and Aslak Sira Myhre, head of the National Library of Norway.
The petroleum industry is working hard to adapt and find new solutions in a world where streamlining, downsizing and savings are the order of the day.
What place does safety occupy in this picture? Are we at a crossroads which challenges the ambition of continuous improvement and continued risk reduction?
These are the most important issues due to be addressed at the 2016 Safety Lunch, which is being staged in collaboration with the ONS organiser.
This event provides a key meeting place for the industry’s most important decision-makers and contributors. The goal is to view health, safety and the environment – with particular emphasis on major accident risk – in an international perspective.
HSE at breakfast, too
Safety will also be highlighted at ONS on 31 August in a meeting being served up from 09.00 to 12.00 by the Petromaks 2 programme run by the Research Council of Norway.
Under the title “HSE for breakfast”, the event will serve as the most important Norwegian meeting place for research in this field during 2016.
