Songa Trym has been granted Acknowledgement of Compliance

The mobile facility Songa Trym was granted the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway's (PSA's) Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) on 5 June 2009.

Songa Trym is a mobile facility built in Norway at Aker Værdal and completed in 1976. The facility has previously held an AoC under the name Deepsea Trym  (linkbox). It was then owned and operated by Odfjell Drilling AS (Odfjell) in Bergen.

Songa Trym is still operated by Odfjell, but has been bought by Songa Management AS in Stavanger.

The facility has received a new AoC diploma based on its name change.

The validity of this Acknowledgement of Compliance is based on the assumption that Odfjell will ensure that the facility and relevant parts of the company's organisation and management system are maintained, so that conditions and assumptions in the PSA's decision are complied with.
